Analog Devices Inc. is looking for a Senior Technical Onboarding Engineer to lead test automation solutions and manage stakeholder relationships within their QSS Test Operations group. The role focuses on integrating and supporting test automation infrastructure and continuous integration systems.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and define stakeholder Test Automation requirements
- Define project plans for implementing and installing Test Solution application for new and legacy projects
- Identify how to integrate into existing CICD systems or recommend implementation of the QSS standard CICD pipeline to support Test Automation
- Coordinate with other infrastructure teams to design and configure virtual systems for build and test environments
- Troubleshoot issues and solve problems with Test Automation infrastructure, build systems as needed
- Assist with configuring and setting up common relational database environments
- Support training teams on the use of QSS Test Solution frameworks
- Assist with integration of Test Solution applications.
- Administering Linux operating systems
- Support integration of CI test pipelines
- Install and support code coverage tools to capture quality of test automation coverage
- May also include assisting with development of test automation infrastructure
- Serve as a champion for advancing Test Automation best practices and new methodologies within the organization
Minimum Qualifications/skills:
- 3 to 5 years of relative experience within software tests with at least 1 of those years in a Project Management related role
- A University master’s degree in computer engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field is required. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in engineering and equivalent professional experience in the sector will also be considered
- Operations Project Management background
- Background in managing test automation environments
- Experience in software development and testing of code
- Strong expertise in DevOps Agile CI/CD implementation
- Experience with building infrastructure and tools such as GCOV/GCC, Coverity, Git/Bitbucket, Artifactory, Jira, Visual Studios, etc.
- Experience with relational databases, such as SQL or PostgreSQL
- Experience with developing and deploying Github actions
- Experience with maintaining various scripting languages to build software from scratch, test, and deploy it for a specific use case
- Experience with container technologies like Docker
- Experience with Linux and cross-platform development
- Experience with Python and bash scripting
- Experience with C, C++ and Shell Scripting
- Excellent analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ Years of DevOps experience in managing test infrastructure and with 2 of the years in Project Management
- Project Management skills
- Exposure to embedded software product development with test background
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Experience with C#, Python and Java
- Experience with non-relational databases such as MongoDB
- Experience with time series databases, such as InfluxDB
- Experience with visualization tooling, such as Grafana
- Maintenance of Docker/Container clusters
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments
- Knowledge of OpenShift and CloudSmith highly desirable
