About the Role:
As our new Senior Engineer - DevOps youʼll be part of the GDI Getting Data In) group under NGSIEM with a focus on data ingestion at scale. The group focuses on the data ingestion and onboarding experience for NGSIEM customers, ingesting several petabytes of data per day across multiple regions from 100 1st party and 3rd party data sources.
The Integrations team within the GDI group is responsible for building out of the box integrations, framework, platform for integration development and running the connectors that ingest data from varieties of data sources. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team that builds scalable framework, platform and pipelines that ingest data at scale with quality.
Teams in GDI have a great amount of autonomy, and own a part of the NGSIEM experience, from ideation and development to deployment and feedback. This includes ensuring high quality of the features they deliver, by writing automated tests, and performing manual tests.
This role is targeting candidates located in Bangalore and willing to work in a hybrid environment.
Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for multi-cloud AWS, GCP, OCI and on-premises microservices.
Build and maintain standardized Infrastructure as Code Terraform, Ansible) solutions.
Develop and implement safe deployment strategies (blue/green, canary) for zero-downtime releases.
Manage multi-cloud orchestration with Kubernetes, Helm charts, and operators.
Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting for distributed systems.
Automate security scanning and compliance checks within deployment pipelines.
Build and maintain self-service deployment platforms for development teams.
Optimize deployment performance, cost, and reliability across cloud environments.
Troubleshoot critical production deployment issues and implement preventive measures.
Establish deployment standards, best practices, and quality metrics.
Lead initiatives to enhance deployment automation and operational efficiency.
Participate in on-call rotation and incident response for deployment issues.
Continuously improve internal tools, processes, and deployment infrastructure.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
9 years in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation in cloud-native, SaaS environments.
Deep expertise in Kubernetes (deployments, Helm, operators, multi-cluster management).
Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
Expertise in CI/CD tools Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) for end-to-end pipelines.
Hands-on experience across multiple cloud platforms AWS, GCP, OCI and hybrid environments.
Proficient with Docker, container registries, and container security.
Fluent in at least one programming/scripting language Python, Go, or Bash).
Experience with safe deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling).
Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
Understanding of security practices RBAC, secrets management, security scanning in CI/CD.
Proven track record of operational excellence in managing complex, distributed systems.
Strong communication and collaborative skills with internal stakeholders.
Familiarity with SIEM platforms like Splunk, Sentinel, Elastic Security, Chronicle, or QRadar.
Experience in building platforms for data ingestion at scale
