About the Department / Team:

The Workplace Technology team partners with Corporate Properties, Facilities, and IT to design, deploy, and support audio‑visual (AV) and unified communications (UC) solutions across corporate offices and collaboration spaces. The team serves as a trusted technology partner for office builds, relocations, renovations, and modernization initiatives, ensuring reliable, user‑friendly workplace experiences at scale.

About the Role:

This role is responsible for the engineering, design, and delivery of enterprise AV/UC solutions for corporate office environments. The position works closely with Facilities, Network, IT, and external integration partners to support new builds, relocations, renovations, and ongoing technology improvements.

The role combines hands‑on technical expertise with project leadership, serving as a senior engineering resource throughout design, installation, commissioning, and post‑deployment support.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Design enterprise AV/UC systems for a variety of space types, including conference rooms, training rooms, and executive spaces

  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation such as system drawings, signal flow diagrams, rack layouts, and as‑built documentation

  • Program, configure, and validate audio DSP systems, including routing, tuning, AEC, EQ, and logic

  • Implement and optimize AV control systems and user interfaces for consistent, intuitive operation

  • Ensure AV designs align with enterprise unified communications platforms and certification standards

  • Lead AV/UC engineering efforts across project phases: design, installation, commissioning, and handover

  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, IT teams, and AV integrators to ensure accurate implementation

  • Review and approve integrator designs and deliverables for compliance with standards and requirements

  • Provide Tier‑3 technical escalation support and troubleshoot complex AV/UC issues

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of AV/UC standards, templates, and lifecycle strategies

  • Deliver training and documentation to support teams to ensure long‑term system sustainability

Requirements of the Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise AV engineering, system design, integration, or programming

  • Strong experience with:

    • Audio DSP programming and tuning

    • AV control systems and UI design

    • AV system design and integration

    • Networked AV technologies (e.g., Dante, AVB, AES67)

    • Video conferencing and collaboration platforms

  • Experience creating professional engineering documentation (AutoCAD, Visio, Bluebeam, or similar tools)

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CTS‑D and/or CTS‑I certification

  • Certification or formal training on a major audio DSP platform

  • Experience supporting enterprise or corporate real estate environments

  • Experience supporting executive or high‑visibility collaboration spaces
