The Electronics Engineering Technician will support new product design teams through test development, data analysis, and competitor benchmarking. You will configure products for testing, log the measurements for data collection/graphing, and troubleshoot/repair/modify circuit board assemblies. This role involves hands-on electrical assembly, mechanical fabrication, and system integration of electromechanical prototypes. The EET will work closely with engineering, marketing, and product teams to translate field and customer requirements into functional, field-ready prototypes, supporting rapid design iteration, testing, and refinement throughout the development lifecycle.

You’ll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Support new product development by building, assembling, and modifying electrical and electromechanical prototypes.
  • Perform electrical assembly, including wiring, harness fabrication, PCB population/rework, and control panel assembly for prototype and pre-production units.
  • Fabricate and assemble mechanical components (enclosures, brackets, mounts, fixtures) to support prototype builds and system integration.
  • Work closely with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams.
  • Assist engineers with design iteration, incorporating rapid design changes during development cycles.
  • Identify design, assembly, or integration issues and provide hands-on feedback to engineering teams to improve product robustness and manufacturability.
  • Assist with root-cause analysis of electrical issues in prototypes or production units.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical meetings as needed.
  • Communicate technical issues clearly and provide feedback on design for reliability and serviceability.
  • Install, calibrate, and repair electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Maintain test equipment, tools, and lab spaces in safe, working condition.
  • Build and maintain test fixtures and development tools to support validation and characterization testing.
  • Perform bench-level testing and troubleshooting of prototype hardware using standard lab equipment.
  • Document prototype builds, assembly processes, test results, and lessons learned to support design transfer.
  • Identify component failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Follow electrical safety standards, ESD procedures, and company safety policies.
  • Assist with regulatory and compliance testing (e.g., UL, CE, FCC) as required.
  • Ensure work meets applicable codes, standards, and best practices.

What TOOLS you’ll bring with you:

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Experience with mechanical/electrical principles, test equipment, product life cycle testing , and performance test procedures and methods.
  • Capability to lift and manipulate 30lbs.
  • Interest and ability to use power tools to simulate consumer usage.

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:

  • Experience with Lithium-Ion battery systems and test environments.
  • Experience in viewing schematics and PCB layout files in an environment such as Altium.
  • Mechanical mindset and aptitude.
