About the Role

We are looking for a Sr Director of Procurement to lead the enterprise procurement function, driving a high-performing team while leading strategic transformation across vendor onboarding, contracting, and third-party engagement. This role will own the end-to-end implementation of a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform and modernize procurement processes to improve efficiency, compliance, scalability, and stakeholder experience.

In this role, you will serve as a key partner to Legal, Finance, Risk, Compliance, the Business, and Technology, ensuring procurement enables business growth while maintaining strong governance and cost discipline.

What You'll Do

Procurement Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, establishing clear roles, performance expectations, and career growth paths
  • Set the strategic direction for procurement, aligning priorities with business objectives and enterprise initiatives
  • Establish best-in-class procurement policies, controls, and operating procedures

Vendor Onboarding Transformation

  • Design and lead a transformation of the vendor onboarding process to improve speed, transparency, and stakeholder experience
  • Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk, InfoSec, Finance, and IT to streamline third-party due diligence and approval workflows
  • Standardize vendor intake, risk tiering, and approval criteria while ensuring regulatory and policy compliance
  • Define and track KPIs for onboarding efficiency, cycle times, and vendor satisfaction

Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) Implementation

  • Own the end-to-end CLM implementation project, from requirements gathering Serve as executive sponsor for the CLM tool, coordinating across Procurement, Legal, IT, and business stakeholders
  • Lead vendor selection (if applicable), implementation planning, change management, and user training
  • Ensure the CLM solution integrates effectively with procurement, finance, and vendor management systems
  • Drive adoption and continuous improvement post-implementation

Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management

  • Oversee strategic sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management
  • Develop frameworks for vendor segmentation, risk management, and cost optimization
  • Partner with senior business leaders to support complex, high-value, and high-risk vendor engagements

Stakeholder Partnership & Governance

  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on procurement strategy, vendor risk, and spend optimization
  • Ensure procurement practices align with regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements
  • Support internal audits, regulatory exams, and third-party risk assessments related to procurement and vendor management

About You

  • 12+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management, including senior leadership roles
  • Experience leading procurement or vendor-related transformations at scale
  • Experience leading enterprise technology implementations, including CLM preferred
  • Strong people leadership experience with a track record of building and developing teams
  • Experience partnering closely with Legal, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams
  • Background in financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated environments
  • Strong change management and process design experience
  • Strategic mindset with executive presence
  • Data-driven approach with experience defining and managing KPIs
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience building procurement functions in high-growth or transformation environments
  • Familiarity with third-party risk frameworks and regulatory expectations

Work Location

Lehi

The above locations are eligible offices for this role. The locations have been determined to foster in-person collaboration with this role’s team or the related business lines. We utilize a hybrid work model, and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. In-person attendance is essential for this role’s success, and remote placement will not be considered. LendingClub offers relocation, based on actual job level.

Time Zone Requirements
Primarily MT

While the position will primarily work local hours, LendingClub is headquartered in Pacific Time and our ideal candidate will be flexible working across time zones when necessary.

Travel Requirements
As needed travel to LendingClub offices and/or other locations, as needed.

Compensation
The target base salary range for this position is 148,000-175,000. The base salary of the role will be determined by job-related knowledge, experience, education, skills, and location. Base salary is just one part of LendingClub’s Total Rewards package. You may also be eligible for long-term awards (equity) and an annual bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance and eligible earnings).
