Sr. Director of Portfolio Commercialization, Anti-Infectives

Location: Philadelphia, PA or Durham, NC

As the Portfolio Commercialization lead for Anti-infectives, you will develop and lead launch strategy, commercial model and innovation, reporting to the VP, Franchise Head, Anti-Infectives. Responsibilities include developing launch plans and exploring various commercialization approaches for our Anti-Infective portfolio, including three launches anticipated over the next two years.  This role also has a strong external focus to identify and explore innovative channels and commercialization approaches, as well as potential business development partnerships.

You will be accountable to drive the US Anti-infectives portfolio strategy and execution, lead a team of US marketers plus a team of cross-functional stakeholders, and maximize ambition. You will closely collaborate with the HCP/DTC Lead for Anti-Infectives, who will focus on brand promotion and in-line product performance.

This is a highly visible and strategically important role for GSK as we re-enter the anti-infective market establishing a broad franchise.  We are looking for an inspiring commercial leader who can seamlessly interact with Senior Stakeholders across the US, Global and external market.

Specific accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create launch plans across the Anti-Infectives portfolio, ensuring successful execution and market entry.
  • Develop strategy and build new commercialization channels for the Anti-Infectives portfolio, incl. Hospital and Direct-to-Patient (DTP)
  • Drive external partnerships and innovation initiatives, including identification and testing of new opportunities to market our products differently and maximize our ambition
  • Plan and execute portfolio activities for congresses and peer-to-peer (P2P) engagements.
  • Lead the Integrated Brand Team across the portfolio
  • Set direction and ensure strategic alignment across functional stakeholder groups
  • Lead and develop a high performing team of marketing directors / managers / associates
  • Maintain detailed understanding of disease and competitive marketplace
  • Foster an environment of innovation, inclusion, challenge, trust and development

Why You?

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/BA with 8 years of marketing or relevant commercial experience, including a minimum of 4 years in US biopharma marketing
  • Ability to be in-office consistently 2-3 days per week (Philadelphia, PA or Durham, NC)
  • Experience in direct people management
  • Ability to travel 25% 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree with 5–8 years’ marketing experience, including ≥4 years in US biopharma marketing
  • Experience in US healthcare/anti-infectives brand marketing; consulting or business development experience a plus
  • Proven leadership in matrix environments (second-line or enterprise-level leadership)
  • Strong interpersonal, strategic decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience with global launch/marketing teams and broad commercial activities: brand lifecycle management, product launch/category creation, strategy development, and tactical plan execution (integrated channels)
  • Skilled in customer insight, messaging/campaign development, pricing, and market access strategies
  • Able to drive market/brand opportunity analysis into actionable insights and make pragmatic trade-offs/prioritization
  • Ownership mindset, thrives in fast-paced environments, and competitive drive to explore new opportunities
