Sr Director of Marketing & DesignPosition Overview
The Senior Director, International Design & Marketing will lead the design direction and marketing initiatives outside of the United States for both carpet tile and resilient flooring categories. Leading the marketing and design teams globally, this role connects product design, market insights, brand strategy, and communications to drive growth across international markets and translate trends, customer, and cultural insights into engaging brand and product experiences.
Responsibilities:
Provides leadership for global design and marketing functions across Asia Pacific, EMEA, Australia, Latin America, and Canada, overseeing and developing Marketing Directors and Design Managers across geographically dispersed regions.
Ensures alignment between regional initiatives and overarching corporate objectives, while partnering with corporate marketing, product, and design teams to adapt enterprise initiatives to regional needs and drive global growth.
Provide creative direction around materials, finishes, design concepts, and visual storytelling.
Lead multidisciplinary design teams (2D, brand, digital) to deliver innovative, cohesive creative output.
Translate global and regional design trends into strategic product positioning and integrated brand experiences.
Leads global brand and marketing strategy. Elevate brand presence across diverse markets. Ensure brand messaging and visual identity remain consistent while adapting to regional needs.
Oversee execution of global marketing campaigns, product launches, and multi-market communication initiatives.
Ensure effective cross functional collaboration between corporate product, design and marketing areas and Global Sales, Global Marketing and Global Design teams to ensure cohesive global alignment and execution.
Coordinate merchandising materials, sample programs, and creative assets across global markets.
Promote a collaborative culture and ensure alignment across regions and functions.
Requirements:
10+ years of global design and/or marketing leadership in the global flooring industry.
Proven experience leading international design and marketing teams.
Deep knowledge of design principles, materials, color, visual communication, and brand systems.
Ability to build and execute global marketing strategies across multiple regions.
Visionary creative and strategic thinker with global market awareness.
Strong cross-functional collaborator and communicator.
Highly skilled in design direction, brand development, and marketing communications.
Proficient at turning insights into actionable strategies that strengthen brand presence.
Strong project management, prioritization, and budget management skills.
Preferred Background:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Marketing, Architecture, Industrial Design, or related field.
Experience working with product development teams and global vendor networks.
