We are seeking a Sr. Director of Client Engagement to join our growing team in Southborough, MA

The Senior Director of Client Engagement will provide expert consulting services across all aspects of pharmacy benefits for our National Pharmacy Team. This role will be dedicated to Brown & Brown’s Southborough, MA office supporting large-market employer clients. This client-facing role serves as a key liaison between clients and internal teams, driving both tactical execution and strategic innovation. Responsibilities include leading strategic discussions, managing pharmacy programs, supporting vendor evaluations, and delivering clinical and financial strategies. 

How You Will Contribute

  • Support development of client presentations and strategic recommendations. 
  • Analyze pharmacy benefit utilization and trends using PharmaLogic and other analytic tools. 
  • Create intellectual capital for Brown & Brown. 
  • Support PBM implementations and benefit changes. 
  • Manage strategic and tactical client relationships to ensure retention and satisfaction. 
  • Lead RFP, procurement, and renewal processes. 
  • Assist with PBM contract reviews and negotiations, including financial modeling and language review. 
  • Collaborate with clinicians, analysts, actuaries, and other specialists. 
  • Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert (SME) for the large-market pharmacy consulting team. 
  • Support internal trainings for generalist consultants on the pharmacy landscape.
  • Lead issue escalation and resolution for pharmacy-related concerns. 
  • Use proprietary tools and Excel to analyze pharmacy spend and cost drivers. 
  • Assist in developing methodologies and outcome assessments. 
  • Ensure accurate onboarding and configuration within pharmacy analytics systems. 

Skills & Experience to Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or related field. 
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in pharmacy benefit/healthcare consulting or pharmacy benefit management. 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. 
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism. 
  • Expected to be local to Southborough, MA to support in-office collaboration
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%. 
  • Registered pharmacist with experience in clinical strategy development.  (preferred)
  • Familiarity with both pharmacy and medical data. (preferred)
  • Experience with Tableau or similar business intelligence tools (preferred)

Pay Range

$200,000 - $300,000 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
