The Role
As Senior Director of Global Order Management Architecture, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Deckers’ end-to-end global order and inventory ecosystem. This is a high-impact role that goes beyond traditional OMS ownership—driving a holistic, intelligent order ecosystem that spans order capture, orchestration, inventory intelligence, fulfillment, payments, and returns across B2B, B2C, Retail, and Marketplace channels. You will architect a next-generation, cloud-native, API-first, and event-driven platform that supports Deckers’ complex business model, balancing high-volume B2C transactions with highly customized B2B order flows. Your leadership will enable real-time decision-making across a distributed fulfillment network, directly influencing revenue realization, customer experience, and supply chain efficiency.

Your Impact
- Define and execute the global order management and inventory architecture strategy, aligning with enterprise technology priorities and cloud transformation goals.
- Establish a clear target-state architecture for order management, fulfillment, inventory, and partner integrations using cloud-native, modular, and API-first principles.
- Drive adoption of microservices, domain-driven design, containerization, and event-driven patterns to increase agility, scalability, and resiliency.
- Lead the design and transformation of end-to-end order management and supply chain solutions, championing modernization of legacy systems into cloud-native, API-driven, and event-based architectures.
- Scale enterprise integration through API gateways, service mesh, standardized API contracts, and streaming platforms to enable real-time order data flow and partner connectivity.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies—including AI/ML, intelligent automation, and advanced analytics—to deliver measurable business value.
- Define and enforce architectural standards, reference models, and design principles, ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, performant, and compliant with global standards.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business, commercial, and operations leaders, translating complex architectural concepts into actionable guidance for senior executives and delivery teams.
- Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of solution architects, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 12–15+ years in enterprise solution architecture with 5+ years in senior leadership, ideally in OMS and commerce.
- Proven delivery of complex, global-scale OMS/ERP and enterprise solutions.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and real-time streaming.
- Strong background in modernization, digital transformation, and large-scale systems integration.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders globally.
- Experience with architectural governance and standards in multi-region/global environments.
- Excellent communicator able to simplify complex concepts and inspire teams.
- Strategic thinker, collaborative leader, and passionate about innovation and continuous improvement.
