Who You Are:
The Sr. Director of Global Financial Services is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction and daily management of the company's worldwide tax, treasury, payroll, and equity functions. This position will ensure regulatory compliance, optimize financial performance, and manage risks across all jurisdictions. A successful candidate will be an experienced, proactive leader who can effectively manage a complex, multi-disciplinary team and provide strategic counsel to senior management.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Global Tax Strategy and Compliance:
- Develop and oversee the global tax strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives.
- Ensure global tax compliance, including timely and accurate preparation and filing of all corporate tax returns, including income tax, VAT, and transfer pricing.
- Manage and mitigate tax risks by staying current with changes in international tax law and adapting the company's strategy accordingly.
- Build and develop a team of tax professionals, providing performance feedback and creating opportunities.
- Drive the transformation of the tax function, focusing on people development, process improvement, and technology implementation.
- Maintain ownership of tax internal controls and ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley
- Participate in annual audits and quarterly reviews with external auditors and executive management.
- Provide tax guidance on key business decisions, including mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, and other strategic initiatives.
Treasury Management:
- Develop and maintain banking relationships and maintain, monitor and administrate banking platforms.
- Oversee the management of cash flow and liquidity to ensure adequate funding for operations and strategic initiatives. Optimize cash management processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and implement strategies to manage financial risks, including interest rate, currency, and credit risks. Utilize hedging strategies and financial instruments as appropriate.
- Oversee the management of the company’s investment portfolio to maximize returns while ensuring compliance with investment policies and risk tolerance levels.
- Develop, implement, and maintain treasury policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, accounting, and operations teams, to support business objectives and drive financial performance. Over time, lead and mentor a small treasury team to achieve departmental goals.
- Leverage technology and financial systems to enhance treasury operations and drive innovation in cash management and financial analysis.
- Maintain ownership of treasury internal controls and ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.
Payroll Oversight:
- Oversee the entire global payroll function, ensuring accurate and compliant processing for all employees across all jurisdictions.
- Establish and enforce payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain data integrity and mitigate risk.
- Work with Human Resources to align payroll processes with employee compensation and benefits programs.
- Drive the continuous development of the payroll function, focusing on people development, process improvement, and technology implementation.
Equity Administration:
- Lead the management and administration of the company's global equity programs.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to equity compensation in relevant jurisdictions.
- Establish and enforce equity administration policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain data integrity and mitigate risk.
- Drive the continuous development of the equity administration function, focusing on people development, process improvement, and technology implementation.
Leadership and Strategy:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of finance and administrative professionals.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls and governance frameworks across all areas of responsibility.
- Provide clear and timely reporting and insights to the CFO, CAO and other members of senior leadership.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., Master's in Taxation) or certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
- Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in a senior leadership role overseeing tax and treasury functions within a global organization.
- Proven experience in working closely with payroll and equity administration is essential.
- Deep knowledge of international tax laws, treasury management principles, and financial
regulations.- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic thinking skills.
