Job Description:
The Senior Director of Digital Products is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of Book Fairs digital payments systems, digital portal, and overall customer-facing digital platforms. This position governs and maintains the digital products roadmap and oversee all day-to-day production of Book Fairs digital payment systems operations, in coordination with STS and all contracted vendors. In addition, this position leads and coordinates all cross-functional teams supporting digital payments and digital platforms, inclusive of operational branch techs, marketing, digital services, and technical support. Reporting to the VP of Digital Products and Customer Experience, the Sr. Director of Digital Platforms helps drive vision, strategy, and leads innovation with a focus on the top priority customer-facing digital product, the Book Fairs payment system, in conjunction with engineers, which requires a deep understanding of product lifecycle management and agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. In collaboration with the VP, Digital Products and Customer Experience and key business partners, establish digital product goals and strategy execution for Scholastic Book Fairs customer-facing payment system digital products, ensuring stable, intuitive, and modern interface, as well as a superior customer experience for hosts and volunteers.
2. Oversee the multi-year development and enhancement roadmap, planning frequent strategy meetings for stakeholder feedback, transparency, and alignment, inclusive of budget focus, timelines, and resource allocations for growth. 3. Govern analytics and performance sharing of digital products for executive level presentations, reviewing metrics on a regular cadence to address issues or trends in a timely manner for optimal customer experience.
4. Partner with research and insights teams to conduct user acceptance testing, panel testing, and experiential testing when applicable, enabling customer inputs to reflect in digital products. Conduct best-in-class audits and industry best practices to drive modernization and efficiency, leveraging data to drive continuous optimization and innovation.
5. Oversee and manage the digital portfolio of payment system products, ensuring business objectives are met, inclusive of on-time deliverables, usability testing, releases, scalability and rollouts across branches, with a solid QA process and accuracy of enhancement production releases.
6. Lead and coordinate the announcement of feature timeline releases and change impact, along with internal training teams, as well as escalation tracking to tech teams for timely resolution.
7. Other leadership-level duties as assigned.
Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 12+ years of digital product management, website production and digital support experience
- 5+ years of experience in similar industry leadership role
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills, including experience collaborating with senior leadership effectively with multiple priorities and differing points of view in a challenging work environment.
- Superior project management and prioritization skills with ability to oversee all production and teams in digital product lifecycle.
- Excellent organization, communication, and project management skills with the ability to oversee all areas of production support
- Subject matter expert in digital products and platforms
- Expert knowledge in agile methodology and scrum team experience
- Computer skills, both MS Windows and Mac operating systems, a plus
- Expert experience with: Microsoft suite, Google suite, and project management tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Expert level in reporting and sharing analytical results
- Superior problem solving and analytical skills
- Commitment to internal client and customer service principles
- Ability to lead production-based team members with various skillsets in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines
