About the Role:
A strategic enterprise leader responsible for defining, governing, and continuously advancing the U.S. commercial forecasting and advanced analytics capability across the in-market portfolio, launch assets, and pipeline. This role serves as the enterprise authority for demand, revenue, and scenario forecasting, ensuring forecasts are strategically aligned, analytically rigorous, and decision-ready for executive leadership.
As a trusted advisor to senior and executive leaders, the Senior Director shapes commercial and financial strategy by delivering high-impact insights that inform long-range planning, investment decisions, portfolio prioritization, and operational execution. This role leads a multi-layered forecasting and analytics organization, establishing scalable methodologies, governance, and best practices that enable enterprise-wide consistency, agility, and long-term value creation.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
- Enterprise Forecast Ownership, Strategy & Governance
- Accountable for the integrity, credibility, and strategic relevance of the U.S. commercial forecast across all in-market brands, launch assets, and pipeline scenarios
- Defines and governs forecasting strategy for Long-Range Planning (LRP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and quarterly Latest Estimate (LE) processes in close partnership with Finance and Executive Leadership
- Establishes and enforces enterprise-wide forecasting standards, including assumptions, methodologies, data sources, and business rules to ensure transparency, consistency, auditability, and regulatory compliance
- Oversees forecasting governance frameworks that meet internal control requirements and support executive- and Board-level decision-making
- Provides executive leadership with clear articulation of key value drivers, risks, opportunities, uncertainties, and trade-offs, proactively shaping strategic discussions and outcomes
- Strategic Forecasting & Advanced Analytics Leadership
- Defines the vision and multi-year roadmap for commercial forecasting and advanced analytics, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and long-term growth objectives.
- Oversees the development and evolution of best-in-class forecasting models, including scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, risk-adjusted forecasting, and portfolio-level trade-off analysis
- Drives innovation by integrating primary research, secondary data (claims, sales, specialty pharmacy), competitive intelligence, and advanced analytical techniques to enhance forecast accuracy and strategic insight
- Champions predictive and prescriptive analytics, leveraging emerging tools and methodologies to improve decision speed, agility, and foresight
- Actively challenges assumptions, pressure-tests scenarios, and synthesizes insights across functions to strengthen forecast confidence and executive readiness
- Executive & Enterprise Partnership
- Acts as the primary commercial forecasting and advanced analytics advisor to Finance and a trusted strategic partner to executive leaders across Commercial, Market Access, Medical, Supply Chain, IT, and Corporate Strategy
- Translates complex analyses into clear, concise, and actionable insights tailored for executive leadership, governance forums, and enterprise planning discussions
- Ensures forecasting outputs are tightly integrated with brand strategy, launch sequencing, access strategy, and operational plans, with enterprise implications clearly understood
- Embeds analytics as a core enabler of enterprise decision-making, fostering a culture of insight-led strategy and execution
- Launch, Portfolio & Lifecycle Excellence
- Leads forecasting and analytics readiness for major launches and portfolio expansions, including uptake scenarios, early performance diagnostics, KPI frameworks, and launch risk assessments
- Supports portfolio investment decisions, go/no-go milestones, and lifecycle optimization through rigorous scenario analysis and value-based forecasting
- Oversees performance tracking versus forecast, identifies systemic drivers of variance, and partners with leadership to recommend strategic course corrections
- Measures and communicates the business impact and ROI of forecasting and analytics initiatives at the enterprise level
- People Leadership, Capability Building & Operating Model
- Leads, mentors, and develops a high-performing forecasting and advanced analytics organization, managing through multiple levels of leadership as appropriate
- Builds sustainable organizational capability by establishing scalable processes, operating rhythms, tools, and governance models that support enterprise needs
- Fosters a culture of strategic thinking, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Oversees forecasting resources, external partners, and budgets to ensure efficient execution and long-term capability growth
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, life sciences, or a related quantitative discipline required AND 15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical commercial forecasting and/or analytics, including leadership responsibility across launches and lifecycle management OR
- Master's degree AND 13+ years of related experience OR
- Extensive experience building, leading, and developing forecasting or analytics organizations required
- Core Competencies
- Deep expertise in U.S. pharmaceutical commercial forecasting, scenario modeling, and portfolio analytics within a complex, matrixed environment
- Strong strategic, financial, and enterprise acumen with a clear understanding of commercial, market access, and P&L dynamics
- Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and shape enterprise strategy through data-driven insight.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and change-management skills, with demonstrated success leading through ambiguity
- Established people leader with experience building and scaling high-performing teams
- Technical & Functional Expertise
- Recognized internal thought leader in forecasting and analytics, with experience in advanced modeling, uncertainty analysis, and multi-source data integration
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with forecasting platforms, analytics systems, and data visualization tools preferred

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $230,000.00-$314,000.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 35% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
