Responsible for the strategy, planning, execution and achievement of a $400,000+ annual fundraising event portfolio. Oversees all aspects of event fundraising, including relationship management, sponsorship acquisition, volunteer leadership recruitment, pipeline development, donor cultivation, stewardship, and participant engagement. Ensures alignment with organizational goals, a high-impact experience, and achievement of financial growth targets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Builds, sustains, and elevates relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers and community partners to ensure revenue goal achievement and foster long-term engagement. 40%

• Ensures a best-in-class event experience through management of planning, logistics, brand positioning, budgets, and vendor relationships. 20%

• Creates tailored partner and donor experiences to attract and retain supporters, as well as aligning event partners with broader Society cultivation efforts to grow revenue impact through and beyond events. 10%

• Monitors fundraising progress and expenses against budget and benchmarks, proactively adjusting strategies to exceed financial goals, and optimize return on investment. 10%

• Effectively convenes and coordinates the different contributors to event success - marketing, coordinator support, etc. 10%

• Champions community presence and brand elevation, positioning events to deepen public interest and engagement. 10%

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree

· Preferred Degree: Bachelor's Degree

· Certificate(s) or License(s):

· Years of experience: 2 years successful experience in fundraising and relationship development

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

· Experience driving revenue through sales – prospecting, identification, cultivation, solicitation, evaluation, stewardship

· Skilled at leading high-functioning collaborative event teams, including internal and external stakeholders, to execute event deliverables.

· Creates a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives.

· Demonstrated ability in handling multiple priorities, project and timeline management and planning.

· Proven relationship building, persuasion and influence skills.

· Strong customer service orientation, with extensive experience in effectively addressing and resolving issues.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

· Limited travel to meetings, training & events

· Expectation of being external in the market an average of 3 days per week

· Must be able to attend evening and weekend meetings, events and programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Some lifting as part of event set up activities

The starting rate is $70,000 to $73,000. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
