The Consumer Monetization team’s charter is to find, evaluate, build, and scale new monetization, measurement, subscription, and internal campaign tools across all Yahoo brands—including Yahoo Homepage, Yahoo Sports, Yahoo Finance, Yahoo News, and AOL.
We are expanding our charter with a major strategic investment: a new privacy-first, cross-channel measurement platform leveraging Yahoo 1P data to deliver attribution, lift, and actionable insights for Yahoo Ads, Yahoo DSP, and partners.
As part of the Consumer Monetization Platform Engineering team, you will build the core data engineering pipelines that power Yahoo’s next-generation measurement platform. You will work on distributed data systems, large-scale identity and event processing, and analytics infrastructure that transforms Yahoo 1P datasets into measurement-grade insights for advertisers.
Our big-data footprint operates at double-digit petabyte scale. The technical challenges span efficient query processing, large-scale stream processing, causal and attribution modeling, privacy-safe data joining, and implementing complex business rules across platforms.

Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and analytics architectures supporting Yahoo’s new Measurement Platform.
Build and enhance large-scale distributed systems for identity joins, attribution datasets, and measurement-ready feature processing.
Partner with data scientists, analysts, PMs, and engineering teams to translate measurement requirements into scalable data systems.
Productionize lift, incrementality, and attribution models in collaboration with ML teams.
Develop datasets, APIs, and real-time pipelines that unify 1P data, exposure logs, and campaign metadata across Yahoo Ads and DSP.
Lead investigations to troubleshoot data anomalies, ensure data quality, and validate measurement outcomes.
Prototype new metrics and data systems to support measurement evolution and advertiser needs.
Maintain and improve released systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance.
Provide engineering consultation on large and complex data warehouse problems.
BS with 10+ years relevant industry experience, or MS with 7+ years (Computer Science or related field).
Strong fundamentals: algorithms, distributed computing, data structures, databases.
Fluency in at least one of: Go / Java / Python / C++ / Scala / SQL.
5+ years industry experience building large-scale analytics or ML data systems.
2+ years experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Composer, BigTable, etc.).
2+ years experience with Hadoop technologies (Spark, Kafka, Hive, HBase, Oozie, MapReduce, etc.).
Experience in data modeling, schema design, ETL, and analytical data pipelines.
Self-driven, detail-oriented, excellent communication skills, able to multitask and manage expectations.
Experience with measurement systems, attribution modeling, or experimentation frameworks.
Experience with ML algorithms, NLP, or statistical methods.
Experience with data mining, analytics, or large-scale data warehousing.
Familiarity with deep learning platforms (TensorFlow/Keras/Spark MLlib).

The compensation for this position ranges from $120,750.00 - $251,250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
