We’re looking for a Sr. Data Analyst to join our GBS COO – Business Insights & Analytics team at MBPS. This role plays a critical part in transforming raw data into actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making, optimize business processes, and support organizational growth.
You will be responsible for designing and developing metrics, reports, dashboards, and analyses that support key business decisions, as well as gathering and transforming data from multiple sources into meaningful insights for management. Blending data analysis, visualization, and technical development, you will deliver compelling data stories that help leaders understand business performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gathers data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, logs and external datasets; scrubs and cleans data to remove inconsistencies, errors or missing values, to ensure data accuracy and accountability.
- Converts raw data into a format suitable for analysis which might involve normalization, aggregation, or other transformations.
- Assists in building models to forecast future trends or outcomes based on historical data.
- Designing and developing charts, graphs, and dashboards that help users to understand complex data.
- Creating regular or ad-hoc reports and analyses for management that highlight key metrics and trends, providing analysis on the success of business operations.
- Collaborate and directly work with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements, provide insights, present findings and analysis.
- Conduct data mapping exercises, identifying data sources, understanding data structures, and profiling data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Translate data-driven insights into clear user stories or business requirements that can guide the development of data-related solutions.
- Proactively identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities to improve the accuracy and efficiency of assigned reports.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, and, where applicable, to individuals outside the team, on reporting processes and technical skill development.
- Undertake complex ad-hoc requests and projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- At least 5 years' experience in any data analysis, business reporting, business intelligence, or similar roles preferably within the BPO or Shared Services industry.
Work Arrangement & Schedule:
- Hybrid Work Setup: Willingness and flexibility to work both onsite and from home, based on business requirements and/or external conditions.
- Shift Schedule: Willingness to work morning and mid shifts, as required by business needs.
Technical Knowledge:
- Should have proficiency on Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, MS SQL, Power Query, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- Familiarity with R or Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals and predictive analytics.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Lake, MS SQL, EDL).
