The Opportunity

Join Adobe's Cyber Defense Center as a Senior Cyber Threat Researcher and play a pivotal role in our security operations. This outstanding opportunity allows you to drive the end-to-end intelligence lifecycle, transforming data into actionable insights that improve detection, accelerate incident response, and inform risk decisions. Your expertise will be crucial in researching emerging threats, investigating suspicious activities, and rapidly disseminating intelligence to the teams that need it most. Your sharp instincts and attention to detail will help protect sensitive data and ensure business continuity!

What you'll Do

  • Own the intelligence lifecycle from requirements to dissemination, delivering timely and actionable intelligence.
  • Map findings to frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and the Diamond Model to enable decision-quality outcomes.
  • Operate and mature the threat intelligence platform, manage STIX/TAXII feeds, and build automations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Threat Hunting team to proactively identify adversary behaviors.
  • Work with the Detection Engineering Team to operationalize intelligence into new or improved detections.
  • Apply SIEM tools and data lakes to shift across logs, EDR telemetry, and large datasets.
  • Collaborate with the Incident Response team during investigations to contextualize indicators and develop attribution hypotheses.
  • Produce high-quality intelligence deliverables and communicate complex findings clearly.
  • Participate in a bi-monthly on-call rotation to support a resilient defensive operations model.

What you need to succeed

  • 5+ years in Cyber Threat Intelligence/Threat Research or equivalent experience in other security domains.
  • Proficiency with SIEM platforms, EDR solutions, and data analytics environments.
  • Skilled in scripting and automation with Python and comfortable with SQL-like query languages.
  • Familiarity with STIX/TAXII, YARA/Sigma, DNS/HTTP/network fundamentals, and related technologies.
  • Prior hands-on experience with threat management platforms/TIPs is preferred.
  • Experience with AI tools and the capability to incorporate AI into automation workflows.
  • Deep knowledge of emerging threats and threat actors; able to track campaigns and pivot across various sources.
  • Solid understanding of security and privacy fundamentals across cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present information to executives and work alongside partner teams.
  • Strong case and knowledge-management habits; ability to manage multiple requests and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call as needed.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $144,800 -- $261,450 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

 

In California, the pay range for this position is $180,600 - $261,450 In Washington, the pay range for this position is $170,900 - $247,550

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
