What Data Management and Governance contributes to Cardinal Health

The Data & Analytics Function oversees the analytics life-cycle in order to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage. This function manages analytic data platforms, the access, design and implementation of reporting/business intelligence solutions, and the application of advanced quantitative modeling.

Data Management and Governance provides direction of data assets and is responsible for data strategy, quality, standards and service levels. Data management acquires, validates, standardizes, enriches, protects and publishes structured, third party and unstructured data for use by the business. Governance defines and implements policies, standards and metrics that ensure the effective and efficient use of trusted data and statistical models to support regulatory and business goals.

Qualifications

INTERNAL

  • Minimum 1 year in current role
  • No active DAs, PIPs or not under any prescriptive period
  • Has not applied to the same job family within 6 months

EXTERNAL

  • 3-6 years of experience, preferred
  • Completed minimum 2 years in college (old High School curriculum), or at least Senior High School graduate with equivalent work experience,
  • Basic SQL proficiency preferred but not required
  • Basic to Intermediate Excel proficiency preferred
  • Ability to stay focused and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.


What is expected of you and others at this level

  • Perform data input, update, and verification in database with high level of accuracy.
  • Review incoming files for completeness, and errors before uploading them to system.
  • Process raw files by transforming them into usable information.
  • Perform research, investigation, and validation to ensure accurate customer/vendor information based on file provided by third party data supplier.
  • Identify inconsistencies, missing information, or data quality issues and escalate as needed.
  • Work closely with internal teams to resolve data discrepancies.
  • Willing to render overtime as needed.
