We are looking for a Senior Consultant in Mexico City to implement our GTM products.

The GTM Functional Consultant is responsible for supporting GTM implementations, including analyzing import/export flows, coordinating with customs brokers and logistics providers, and translating business and regulatory needs into clear functional specifications for technical teams.
It also supports accurate and compliant trade execution by applying knowledge of rules of origin, tariff classification, and Mexican foreign trade regulations, while delivering clear user guidance and leveraging strong presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder communication skills.
 

About the Role

In this opportunity as GTM Functional Consultant, you will: 

  • Lead end-to-end functional support for foreign trade operations and/or GTM (international trade management) implementations, covering import/export processes, materials management, and document management.
  • Analyze business needs and translate Mexican foreign trade regulatory requirements into clear functional specifications, process flows, and project requirements for technical teams.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with customs brokers and local/international logistics providers to ensure accurate execution, issue resolution, and on-time deliveries.
  • Validate compliance-related configurations and outcomes, applying knowledge of rules of origintariff classification, and trade flows under free trade agreements.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders using strong presentation, public speaking, and negotiation skills to align scope, manage expectations, and drive decisions.
  • Use basic SQL querying (and preferred advanced database knowledge) to support data validation, troubleshooting, and functional testing, while continuously staying current on trade regulations and building software-development-related skills.

About You

You’re a fit for the role of GTM Functional Consultant, if your background includes:

  • 5+ years of hands-on foreign trade operations experience, including coordination with customs brokers, local/international logistics providers, and ownership of materials and trade document management.
  • Solid knowledge of foreign trade flows (import/export), plus working understanding of rules of origin (FTAs) and tariff classification concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Mexican foreign trade regulations, with preferred exposure to special programs such as IMMEX.
  • Strong analytical capability to identify business needs and translate them into clear functional requirements and specifications for technical teams and project stakeholders.
  • Advanced spoken and written English, with confident presentation, public speaking, and negotiation skills in cross-functional environments.
  • Experience working with ERP ecosystems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA, PeopleSoft) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic SQL query skills for data validation and troubleshooting (preferred advanced database and integration/interface knowledge), with a proactive, service-oriented, self-directed mindset and willingness to keep current on regulations and build software-development-related skills.
