What you'll be doing

As a Senior Consultant in Procurement, you'll manage end-to-end procurement activities within the Sourcing Team, focusing on CIBC’s Capital Markets business and the Enterprise Market Data team. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting client needs, handling requests and projects—even those that are general or ambiguous—by defining issues and delivering innovative solutions. You'll develop and present procurement strategy recommendations tailored to business requirements and informed by industry analysis. Leading and executing moderate to high complexity procurement initiatives, you'll create requests for proposals (RFPs) and other supplier evaluation tools, ensuring CIBC risks are mitigated and all regulatory requirements and CIBC policies are followed. You'll provide specialized support for procurement activities related to Capital Markets operations and enterprise market data, aligning with business needs and regulatory frameworks. Additionally, you'll develop contract content, lead negotiation strategy alignment and contract negotiations, secure necessary authorizations, and ensure successful implementation of procurement initiatives. Your expertise will help navigate complex procurement scenarios and support CIBC’s operations within a dynamic and highly regulated environment.

At CIBC, we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
