What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Consultant, Analytics Engineer you will be a key member of the Enterprise Data Engineering team. You need to be proficient in Databricks, Delta Lake for data management, SQL and data engineering solutions. Essential skills also include data engineering (ETL/ELT, batch and streaming), Power BI connection to Cloud data sources, and understanding Azure Databricks security and architecture. Strong communication and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions are also crucial.

You have hands-on experience designing and implementing data engineering solutions using Databricks on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Must have proficiency in Databricks, Data Ingestion, and strong knowledge of Delta Lake, Lakehouse Federation, and Unity Catalog for data governance. Requires expertise in Azure SQL, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, ETL processes, complex queries, advanced database object creation, and SQL Server management (optimization, indexing, backup/recovery, lifecycle management, access control). Experience with SSIS, SSDT for Visual Studio, Windows DOS Batch, and Windows Scheduler is an asset. You should understand enterprise processes, security access controls, SDLC, and version control (GitHub). How you’ll succeed

  • Databricks Data Pipeline Development – Perform end-to-end Databricks data pipeline development, including data ingestion, transformation, and storage using Query and Notebook. Orchestrate workflows based on dependencies and data refresh requirements. Optimize pipeline performance to improve efficiency and reduce processing time while leveraging the Databricks Lakehouse Platform for scalable data processing.
  • Data Quality and Security Management – Ensure data quality, integrity, currency, and security throughout the data lifecycle. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues to minimize operational disruptions. Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive records of data processes. Maintain an enterprise mindset when configuring secure authentication methods for Databricks, Power BI, Alteryx, and other tools.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Requirements Mapping – Coordinate with Analytics teams for downstream Tableau and Power BI reports. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Apply principles of data analysis to map business needs to technical requirements and document them effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement and Best Practices – Stay updated with the latest advancements in data technologies to drive innovation. Contribute to the development of best practices for data management. Mentor junior developers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Who You Are

  • You have 7+ years of professional experience, with proficiency in Databricks (Workspace, Catalog, Compute, Query, Notebook, Workflow, Jobs, Pipelines, Data Ingestion) and SQL Server (complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, SSIS, SSDT for Visual Studio). Strong data engineering and ETL/ELT expertise, plus experience with Alteryx Designer and Server. Familiarity with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Copilot Studio, Windows DOS batch jobs, and Windows Scheduler. Technical skills include Oracle (SQL, TOAD), PostgreSQL, Power BI, Tableau. Financial services industry experience preferred. Agile methodologies, presentation skills, and AI tool familiarity are valued. Bachelor’s in Computer Science required; Master’s preferred.
