What you'll be doing
This is an exciting and challenging role accountable for providing requirements analysis leadership of large programs for CIBC’s Core Banking and Payments Businesses. It reports to the Director, Business analysis. In this role you and your team elicit business needs and define functional specifications. Success is measured by the ability to drive business transformation objectives and delight customers. The role independently resolves ambiguous challenges with organization-wide impacts using strong analytic and inductive thinking. Your mandate is to amplify team outcomes and enable transformation to deliver quality requirements faster for project success.

How you'll succeed
Problem Solving and Requirements Delivery: Current state and root cause analysis to identify the most critical problems we need to solve and what’s causing them. Capability gap analysis to identify what we need to build to solve business and customer challenges: what’s staying the same, changing and new Systems and Journey thinking: Capability to trace how business requirements impact end-to-end customer experiences and data flows across multiple banking systems. Gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. KPIs: Delivery of high-quality requirements on schedule, stakeholder satisfaction, and continuous improvement in requirements processes
Leading and Mentoring: Create clarity, built trust and momentum across the team. Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Recommend solutions and ideas that drive both customer and business outcomes
Relationship Management: Act as a trusted consultant to the business and proactively build relationships to understand their current state, short and longer-term priorities and needs. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems Ensure team members cut through siloes to engage delivery partners across the bank and collaborate with Design, Development and QA functions to deliver projects.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience with: 5+ years in a Business Systems Consultant (BSC) role leading projects. Excellent abilities to engage stakeholders with superior visual, written and spoken communication skills.
Technical acumen & AI capabilities: The ability to understand solution designs and patterns and translate business requirements to systems and solution requirements and design impacts Demonstrate application and learning in AI to enable. A) Continuous improvement: in the business and delivery of requirements. B) Transformation: re-invent and re-engineer how we achieve outcomes faster. Experienced in developing business and solution requirements in user story format utilizing collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA
