The Sr. Community Marketing Specialist, Hunting is a senior individual contributor role responsible for driving awareness, affinity, and advocacy for YETI within the hunting community. This role leverages deep, specialized knowledge of hunting culture to independently manage complex external relationships, identify and respond to non-routine community dynamics, and influence marketing strategy through insight, recommendations, and execution.
Operating with minimal direction, the role partners cross-functionally and externally to ensure YETI maintains credibility, relevance, and authenticity within the hunting category. The impact of this work contributes to long-term brand health and community trust within a highly influential and specialized consumer segment.
Key Responsibilities
Build, manage, and sustain strategic relationships with key guides, outfitters, lodges, conservation organizations, and brand partners, using judgment to prioritize effort and opportunity
Identify, assess, and recommend new domestic and international talent and partnership opportunities within the hunting category, incorporating emerging trends, shifts in community influence, and cultural signals
Serve as a trusted subject-matter expert and internal consultant to marketing partners, providing guidance and informed recommendations related to the hunting community.
Apply evaluation and judgment to non-routine situations to help ensure YETI maintains authenticity, relevance, and cultural alignment within the hunting community, including contributing to select global initiatives
Independently lead the execution and evolution of YETI Select (elite pro program) within the hunting community, ensuring alignment with brand standards and marketing objectives
Gather, interpret, and communicate community insights and trend intelligence that inform marketing programs, partnerships, and long-term planning
Deliver a consistently high standard of relationship management and customer service to community partners and ambassadors, navigating complex needs and expectations
Own day-to-day management of lodge and brand partner relationships within the hunting category, and provide experienced support for consumer-facing events and activations
Travel up to 50% of the time to support relationship development, field engagement, and brand initiatives
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Greater than 8 years of relevant experience within or closely tied to the hunting community, including roles such as guiding/outfitting, conservation organizations, hunting retail, or hunting brands
Demonstrated depth of expertise within the hunting category, with the ability to independently apply judgment to complex, non-routine situations
Proven capability to operate with minimal direction while delivering high-quality, consistent outcomes
Experience managing sophisticated external relationships and influencing outcomes without direct authority
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey insight, recommendations, and rationale to cross-functional partners
Ability to balance significant field time with internal collaboration, planning, and execution
Highly organized, goal-oriented, and effective at managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
