Job Description:

Parsons is seeking talented Senior Roadway Engineers to join our Centreville, VA, and Washington, DC offices and contribute to impactful roadway and civil engineering projects across the DC region. If you are passionate about working on both conventional and design-build roadway programs, this is your opportunity to be part of a global company renowned for delivering innovative infrastructure solutions.

In this role, you will leverage your expertise in roadway design, pavement rehabilitation, and civil engineering to deliver high-quality solutions that prioritize reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform conventional and complex highway/roadway engineering tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Serve as a lead engineer for specific disciplines on small, intermediate and large sized projects or contribute as part of a larger project team.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and junior and mid-level Engineers working on the same project.
  • Plan and design roadway facilities that prioritize safety, reliability, resource efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop engineering computations, material quantity take-offs, cost estimates, surveys, and designs.
  • Foster cooperative and productive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8-15 years of related experience in highway/roadway engineering design.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required).
  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is highly preferred.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, MicroStation, and industry-standard roadway design and analysis software.
  • Preferred Experience: Familiarity with VDOT and DDOT standards and practices.

Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement based in our Centreville, VA, or Washington, DC office.

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
