This position will directly support the procurement of design, preconstruction and construction services related to the semiconductor fabrication facilities being built in Idaho.


As a Senior Category Supply Manager, you will support the category point of contact for supplier interactions, performance management, and negotiations for the site. You will support and work with partners to build a comprehensive view of supplier performance for continued sourcing success. You will support and/or lead in the development and implementation of category strategies and projects related but not limited to cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization, and pricing/contract negotiation.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support site supplier performance and relationships, including audits and resolution of supplier issues.

  • Assist procurement processes for designated areas/accounts and execute global procurement strategies aligned with capital budgeting and cash flow goals.

  • Participate in sourcing events and RFQ processes, and support development and negotiation of design & construction contracts with savings targets and compliance requirements.

  • Contribute to contract administration, ensuring fulfillment of obligations by both Owner and Contractor, and help manage strategic supplier relationships for the construction category.

  • Collaborate internally to develop KPIs, monitor supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement through strategic reviews and evaluations.

  • Provide market intelligence and pricing trends, support should-cost models, and help build and implement construction category strategies.

  • Serve as a procurement process consultant, sharing expertise with internal teams and supporting documentation of project-level strategies, staffing plans, and timelines.

  • Support leadership in supervising sourcing team members, prioritizing projects, and ensuring progress to plan; position requires <25% travel.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher (Field of Study: Construction Management, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred)

  • Knowledge of Construction, construction management and/or construction procurement or contracting (via education or prior job experience).

  • Construction contract negotiation and administration.

  • Proficient in MS office.

  • Delivering presentations that are technical in nature.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with industry-standard contracts (FIDIC or AIA) and/or Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) contracting.

  • Knowledge of design services and associated contracts for construction projects and related contracts.

  • Knowledge of CSA and MEP systems, generally accepted standards of workmanship in construction and infrastructure systems.

  • Knowledge of innovative construction practices may include BIM (or greater) technology, pre-fabrication, etc.

  • Knowledge of project controls and standard project reporting.
