Axos is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Technology team, supporting customer-facing digital banking products across Bank, borrow, and Universal Enrollment. This role bridges product vision and technical execution, working directly with engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications. The ideal candidate embraces an AI-first mindset, leverages modern tools like Cursor, and thrives in a fast-paced environment delivering solutions that directly impact customer banking experiences. Responsibilities:
Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and user stories for customer-facing banking applications
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Tech Leads, and QA teams to manage PBIs, Features, and Epics through delivery
Participate in vision canvas and discovery phases, leading Sprint 0 planning and requirements definition
Support full delivery lifecycle from execution through QA testing, BU demos, UAT, pen tests, and operational readiness
Work with APIs, SQL, system integrations, Figma designs, and technical documentation to support development teams
Partner with Data and Research teams to validate solutions and inform product decisions
Leverage AI tools and methodologies to accelerate analysis, documentation, and problem-solving
Lead complex, multi-year initiatives and coordinate delivery across multiple teams and stakeholders
Identify process improvement opportunities and automation potential
Ensure timely issue resolution and quality delivery across multiple concurrent projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related technical field
4+ years business analysis experience with customer-facing digital products (banking/fintech preferred)
Strong technical proficiency: JIRA/ADO, Confluence, SQL, API specifications, system integration concepts
Experience working embedded with Technology teams (not just business-side BA work)
Proven track record managing requirements through complete delivery lifecycle from discovery through release
Experience leading large-scale, complex initiatives spanning multiple teams and extended timelines
AI-forward mindset with experience using modern productivity tools and emerging technologies
Excellent stakeholder management across technical and business teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality work in fast-paced environment
Preferred:
Experience with web and mobile banking applications
Familiarity with Figma, data modeling, UI/UX principles, and modern development practices
Experience with AI-assisted tools for documentation, analysis, and workflow optimization
