The position is a hybrid role based in our Mississauga office with the opportunity to work 2 days remotely per week.

Role: As a Sr. Business Development Manager within the Advanced Software team focused on IBM products at Ingram Micro Canada, you will play a key role in driving growth across our leading vendor portfolio. You will work alongside 30+ certified specialists to empower partners with strategic guidance, sales enablement, and solution expertise. Leveraging our Canadian-based technical and sales support capabilities, you will identify new market opportunities, recruit and develop partners, and lead go-to-market initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability. This role is focused on accelerating revenue while strengthening relationships that position Ingram Micro as the preferred distributor for advanced software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as a liaison between vendors and the organization, driving alignment with business goals and hitting targets.
  • Recruit and manage vendor partners.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies in partnership with marketing and channel teams.
  • Conduct weekly and quarterly business reviews (QBR’s) with vendor partners and monitor performance.
  • Work closely with the business development & marketing teams to help execute the business plans & sales strategies.
  • Work collaboratively across different teams fostering a culture of innovation and problem-solving, leading to creative solution offerings to customers and vendors.
  • Responsible for generating, analyzing, and interpreting reports to provide actionable insights, support decision-making, and ensure accurate tracking of key performance metrics.
  • Review and negotiate terms of vendor contracts and communicate with vendors regarding day-to-day matters.
  • Deliver presentations to partners, employees, and senior leadership.
  • Primarily travel within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), with occasional travel across North America, up to 20%.

What you bring to the role:

  • Diploma or degree within Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in business development or account management, preferably within distribution or partner management.
  • Must possess a hunter mentality, being proactive, driven, and strategic in achieving goals, consistently seeking new opportunities, and effectively tackling challenges.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying their needs and providing tailored solutions to drive sales growth.
  • Strong experience with MS office suite.
  • Ability to make significant contributions to processes and systems.
  • Seasoned professional individual contributor who works independently.
  • Provides solutions to a variety of complex technical and business matters.
  • Will champion significant projects, programs and business initiatives using demonstrated creativity and ingenuity.
