Senior Business Analyst

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate to work on cross-division OLG and solution vendor teams to enable planning and execution of discovery sessions, business requirements, sprints, user acceptance testing, operational readiness, change management and post-implementation support.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Analysis, the Senior Business Analyst, will be empowered to:  

  

Collaborate with Key Stakeholders  

  • Perform stakeholder analysis and requirements gathering sessions with key business stakeholders to establish business needs and workflows  

  • Develop, contribute to and vet business analysis artifacts (e.g., business requirements, requirements traceability matrix, user stories, epics, use cases, etc.)  

  • Identify risks, constraints, and dependencies, and assist in developing risk mitigation plans  

  • Create, leverage and/or update business modelling deliverables including gap analysis reports, business process models/activity diagrams (i.e., workflows and related illustrations), conceptual data models, flow charts and storyboards etc.  

  • Collaborate with technology teams and service providers to ensure accurate translation of business requirements to technical designs  

  

Perform User Acceptance Testing  

  • Plan and execute user acceptance testing for both Agile and Waterfall deliveries  

  • Support service providers and regulator (AGCO) through their respective testing phases  

  • Maintain and update defect logs, facilitate quick resolution of defects and provide inputs for defect prevention  

  • Prepare test reports comprising of test results and observations, and other testing quality metrics to facilitate the evaluation of testing effectiveness  

  • Support the Change Control and Risk/Issue Escalation processes on projects  

  • Support the implementation of solutions into production  

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME

Education & Experience:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a relevant field  

  • 2+ years of relevant business analysis experience including stakeholder management, requirements elicitation, documentation, process modeling and high-level design and user acceptance testing (UAT)  

Relevant Skills:

  • Understanding of project management methodologies and issue tracking/requirements management tools such as Confluence, JIRA, HP ALM etc., strong understanding of Waterfall deliveries, methodologies, and tools  

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving abilities

  •  Highly organized, manages time and deliverables, strong attention to detail  

  • Experience with Agile deliveries, methodologies and tools, Agile Analysis, Test Management or CBAP® certifications are an asset
