Your Role:
This role provides business analysis capabilities on overall ServiceNow system focusing on CMDB application. Will work with various client teams across the enterprise and ISM process leadership as well as Developer teams to implement solutions for business partner requirements.
You Will Be Responsible For:
1. Support design, development and implementation of automated processes for gathering, populating, and maintaining CMDB data.
2. Maintain and optimize CMDB structure, relationships, and data accuracy.
3. Identify and resolve data anomalies, duplicates, and inconsistencies
4. Responsible for implementation of any new Global Configuration Management polices changes/updates within.
5. Liaise regularly with Technology teams/management and all Technology support areas to continuously enhance the CMDB and make its adoption easier across Technology
6. Work directly with technology teams and enterprise architects to ensure CI's are entered and maintained in the ServiceNow CMDB
7. Develop and continuously improve Configuration Management processes, procedures, and methodologies based upon ITIL principles and Global ITSM standards.
8. Provide recommendations and input to management on existing or new processes to improve the effectiveness of Configuration Management
9. Reconcile the CMDB data when exceptions are noted between CMDB, discovery information and other authoritative production data repositories for Workforce Solution's configuration items.
10. Ability to develop reports for management on KPIs to improve the process effectiveness, efficiency and data accuracy.
11. Lead and Perform configuration Audits to ensure integrity of CMDB data
12. Own Data Certification exercises to ensure data is complete and correct.
13. Conduct refreshers/training sessions across various technology groups for CMDB awareness
14. Design and deploy Discovery and Service Mapping solutions for hybrid environments.
15. Create and manage infrastructure including MID servers, credentials, schedules and patterns.
16. Develop custom probes, sensors and patterns for accurate discovery.
The Experience You Bring:
1. 8+ years of experience in CMDB management within ServiceNow.
2. Strong understanding of ITIL, ITSM, and SACM (Service Asset & Configuration Management).
3. Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and ITOM modules.
4. Proficiency in data modeling, CI classification and relationship mapping.
5. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure components.
6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
7. ServiceNow CMDB or ITOM certifications preferred.
8. Experience in asset and configuration item identification, baseline definition, relationship mapping, CMDB administration and IT acquisition processes.
9. Strong understanding of ITSM processes based on ITIL v4.
