The Company's Total Rewards package is at or above industry levels. The expected base salary range for this position is between 90,240.00 USD - 118,440.00 USD. Job related skills, experience, education, and location will be considered in setting actual starting base salary. In addition to your base salary and depending on job level, eligibility, and performance, a total package may include profit sharing, a short-term incentive and/or long-term incentives. In this role, you’ll transform data into action, creating smart systems for collecting, managing, and analyzing sustainability metrics that make a real impact across beloved brands like Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day and Method. Your work will turn numbers into narratives—building tools, uncovering insights, and crafting compelling visualizations that showcase our progress to teams and stakeholders around the globe.
You’ll be at the heart of quarterly reporting for our Plastics Environmental Pillar, collaborating closely with our global sustainability team to ensure every strategy aligns with cutting-edge corporate goals. Beyond reporting, you’ll influence innovation from the ground up—partnering with product development teams from concept to launch to guarantee new products meet sustainability standards, resonate with consumers, and deliver meaningful change.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead sustainability data management by owning the collection, creation, and communication of performance metrics—transforming multiple data sources into insights that power enterprise and customer reporting.
Build smart tools and dashboards in Excel and web-based platforms to make sustainability data accessible and actionable for teams across the organization.
Drive evolution of sustainability metrics, mapping opportunities for new categories and brands to ensure sustainability is embedded in every innovation.
Automate systems and reporting structures to streamline processes and enable faster, smarter decision-making.
Coordinate global reporting efforts, partnering with R&D teams and European counterparts to improve data quality, align methodologies, and deliver consistent results.
Design auditable processes for product certifications and claims, including trusted standards like Leaping Bunny and UL Ecologo.
Shape strategy through data, contributing to impact-focused, data-driven plans that accelerate progress toward ambitious sustainability goals.
Serve as a sustainability expert in new product development meetings for Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day and across global projects, ensuring every innovation meets rigorous standards and resonates with consumers.
Engage with retail partners, preparing content and acting as the technical voice in sustainability discussions for key accounts.
Inspire and educate internally, co-leading organizational upskilling sessions and Earth Month programming to deepen understanding of our sustainability pillars and energize teams to champion our mission.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Bachelors degree and 3+ years of experience in data analysis with at least 1+ year focused on sustainability
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full-time employment
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent hands-on experience working with sustainability-related datasets (e.g., carbon emissions, plastics, ingredients)
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Python, SQL, SAP, FlexPLM, and Oracle; familiarity with Tableau
Demonstrated ability to analyze, organize, and synthesize large, complex datasets into actionable insights and clear deliverables
Proven track record of leveraging advanced analytical techniques to identify trends, compile comprehensive reports, and provide data-driven recommendations
Highly organized with exceptional accuracy in documentation, follow-up, and progress tracking
Self-motivated, energetic, and eager to learn; thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments
Skilled at working effectively across cross-functional teams in a professional, collaborative manner
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all organizational levels

Office work environment: San Francisco, CA office
Remote work available once a week after 90-day onboarding period
