This role is part of Alcon's Sales & Sales Support function, a team that helps provide access to products across all channels in an effort to drive customer satisfaction with eye care professionals to help people see brilliantly. The Sr. Associate, Pricing, Promotion & Rebate Management (Professional Path) is primarily responsible for crafting and executing pricing, promotional, and rebate strategies to boost company profits. You will track market trends, coordinate promotional activities, and manage vendor relationships while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and update price lists across all relevant product lines, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business guidelines and objectives.
  • Review and validate pricing requests, ensuring compliance with established pricing guidelines and corporate objectives before approving implementation.
  • Conduct in-depth pricing analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and potential improvements. Use insights to recommend strategic actions and optimize pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Finance, Marketing) to communicate and implement approved pricing changes, ensuring smooth execution and alignment across the organization.
  • Identify and lead process improvement projects that enhance pricing efficiency and effectiveness. Focus on strategic initiatives that drive business value and align with broader company goals.
  • Manage pricing for new products, including creating, modifying, and updating pricing models in collaboration with product management and sales teams.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, coordinate, and implement the annual price increase process, ensuring a smooth and transparent transition across all affected product lines.
  • Conduct regular pricing audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with business policies. Address discrepancies promptly and document all audits for future reference.
  • Analyze average prices across product portfolios to identify patterns, generate insights, and assess the viability of granting new pricing agreements based on performance trends and market conditions.
  • Perform customer analytics from a pricing perspective by evaluating customer product mixes, historical pricing, and discount structures. Identify opportunities for adjustment to ensure that discounts and pricing structures align with profitability and business objectives.
  • Generate and manage data related to Surgical and Vision Care products, tracking all relevant login activities and changes in SAP. Use this data to monitor team KPIs and drive performance improvements.
  • Continuously monitor pricing data within systems like SAP and Vistex, ensuring all pricing components (e.g., price, discounts, surcharges, freight tables) are accurate and up to date across the organization.
  • Support the Manager in coordinating the Pricing Admin team, providing motivation, training, and capacity building.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills, along with quantitative, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • Demonstrates complex problem resolution proficiency and the ability to identify/implement process and system enhancements
  • Knowledge of SAP and practical experience analyzing data, program metrics, and performance
  • Experience using Salesforce.com
  • 2 Years of relevant experience
  • Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national, matrix organization, exhibiting leadership qualities.
  • Ability to critically review and improve initiative metrics.
