Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Associate in DevOps to join our dynamic technology team. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure and deployment pipelines to support scalable, reliable, and secure business applications. You will collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to automate processes, improve system resilience, and ensure high availability across diverse environments, including on-premise, virtualized, and cloud platforms. Your contributions will directly impact operational efficiency, deployment speed, and overall system stability, aligning with our commitment to innovative technology solutions.
Software Requirements
Required Skills:
Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell)
Deep understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including infrastructure provisioning and management
Experience with automation and configuration management tools: Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation
Practical knowledge of containerization technologies: Docker and container orchestration with Kubernetes
Experience in setting up and configuring infrastructure for business applications, ensuring high availability and resilience
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines, especially Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk
Experience with network components, connectivity, and distributed system architectures
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with bank's internal security standards and risk management practices
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices
Experience with automation of application deployments across hybrid environments
Exposure to automated testing or validation tools in deployment pipelines
Overall Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure for various applications, ensuring high availability, security, and resilience
Automate software build, deployment, configuration, and system provisioning processes in alignment with Agile and DevOps practices
Support development teams in onboarding to modern CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployment architectures
Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance across distributed networks
Assist in migration and upgrade initiatives to newer infrastructure or cloud environments, minimizing downtime and risk
Establish and maintain robust security practices within deployment pipelines and infrastructure configurations
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance observability, disaster recovery, and system resilience practices
Continuously improve deployment and operational processes by researching industry best practices and emerging technologies

Programming & Automation:
Required: Scripting languages such as Bash, Python, PowerShell
Preferred: Knowledge of shell scripting and automation frameworks
Cloud Technologies & Infrastructure:
Required: Deep experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) including provisioning, security, and resource management
Preferred: Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
Containerization & Orchestration:
Required: Docker for containerization, Kubernetes for orchestration

Experience Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, infrastructure automation, or related roles
Proven experience in deploying and managing scalable, high-availability systems in cloud or hybrid environments
Strong background in scripting, automation, and CI/CD pipeline development
Experience working in collaborative DevOps teams using Agile methodologies
Exposure to banking or financial services infrastructure standards is a plus but not mandatory
Alternative experience pathways: professionals with similar experience in system administration, infrastructure engineering, or cloud engineering will be considered if they demonstrate relevant skills.
Day-to-Day Activities
Automate deployment, configuration, and scaling of applications and infrastructure components
Manage and enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline software releases and updates
Monitor system performance, resolve operational issues, and implement resilience strategies
Support migration and upgrade projects with minimal downtime and risk
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and network connectivity issues across distributed environments
Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to implement best practices
Document infrastructure architecture, automation scripts, and operational procedures
Participate in daily stand-ups, planning, and sprint reviews within Agile teams
Stay current with emerging DevOps tools, practices, and industry standards
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, or Terraform Associate are advantageous
Demonstrable success in implementing cloud infrastructure, automation, and deployment best practices in enterprise or financial environments
