Sr Associate Data Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong hands-on skills in GCP, Hive, Spark, and Python. The candidate will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high‑quality data delivery for business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines on GCP using industry best practices.
  • Work extensively with Hive, Spark, and Python for data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and convert them into technical solutions.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot pipeline issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members when required.

Technical Skills Required

  • Strong experience in Data Engineering (6–8 years).
  • Hands-on expertise in:
    • GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
    • Hive, Spark, Python
    • Data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes
  • Good understanding of distributed systems and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodology.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Git, JIRA, Confluence.

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and able to take ownership of tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
