Main responsibilities:
Reporting to the Associate Director Communication, Advocacy and Policy, the External Communication Specialist, within the Corporate Affairs department, will be contributing to a variety of communications activities to support Lilly’s strategic positioning in Italy in the main therapeutic areas.
Key tasks:
The External Communication Specialist will act as the key point of contact within the TA cross functional teams and will be responsible for all current activities:
- Implementation of media materials such as press releases, press factsheets, press coverage document etc.
- Daily monitoring of press review.
- Distribute press releases to media to support news and product launches.
- Respond to asset requests from editors.
- Keep PR tools up to date with all relevant information.
- Cultivate relationships with print & online editors, in alignment with team strategy.
- Support in the development of press target lists to maintain master media contact lists.
- Maintain a strong network with journalists to ensure TAs visibility on relevant media and newspaper.
- Propose and implement strategic projects and disease awareness activities in the main TAs.
- Interact and collaborate with Customer Marketing function in addition with all the functions within the cross functional team (BU marketing, medical, compliance, legal, internal comms)
Minimum Requirements:
• Previous experience (3+ years) in External communication department in pharma companies;
• Strong editorial skills;
• Deep knowledge of Italian editorial and media scenario, with a focus on healthcare;
• Social media savy;
• Previous experience in working with cross-functional teams;
• Ability to plan and organize and prioritize in compliance with internal policies and procedures;
• Team player with a positive attitude;
• Excellent in written and spoken English and Italian.
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, science politics and related fields or in a scientific field.
