This role is part of Alcon's Finance, Accounting, & Audit function, a team that advances Alcon's financial strategy and ensures fiscal responsibility as we transform the eye care industry.

The Sr. Associate Accounting & Reporting will support the US Revenue team by ensuring accurate financial reporting and execution of revenue-related accounting activities. This role focuses on rebates, discounts, and revenue recognition processes, working closely with Accounts Receivable and cross-functional stakeholders. The position requires a strong accounting foundation, a process-oriented mindset, and the ability to operate independently while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations related to revenue
  • Manage accounting processes for rebates, discounts, and revenue transactions
  • Partner with Accounts Receivable and US-based stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting
  • Perform variance analysis and identify discrepancies, proposing corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/US GAAP and internal controls
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
  • Take full ownership of assigned processes and deliverables
     

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3–5 years of experience in R2R, General Ledger, or Revenue Accounting
  • Experience with rebates, discounts, or revenue-related processes is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS or US GAAP)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis)
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
  • Experience in pharma or regulated industries is a plus
  • Advanced English proficiency
