Sr. Analyst, Vendor Management

Toronto, Ontario Full time

This position plays an integral role within Fairstone by managing key supplier relationships, driving operational excellence, and partnering with internal teams to positively impact customer experience. Key activities include improve processes, practices, and monitor suppliers’ governance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of vendor relationships, including OSFI B10 Material vendors, to drive service excellence, mitigate third party risks, and maximizes value for money.
  • Lead cost savings / process enhancement opportunities.
  • Perform on-going vendor governance activities for responsible vendors as per the Bank policies and procedures.
  • Track and evaluate vendor performance against contractual service levels. Generate insightful reports to show how the vendor is performing against expectations and take action if required.  
  • Coordinate and lead cross functional vendor review meetings with presentation materials geared toward a senior audience.
  • Understand contractual terms and obligations to effectively manage vendor agreements and relationships.
  • Perform reconciliation and verification of vendor invoices.
  • Enhance vendor oversight processes and identify best practices to drive process efficiencies.
  • Act as the issues/incident escalation point for their responsible vendors.
  • Ensure corporate requirements are met by facilitating necessary documentation and reviews, including required updates to internal policies and procedures.
  • Update and maintaining Bank operational procedures.
  • Forecasts and maintains Mastercard inventory and other collateral based on business need and cost optimization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or relevant 4-5 years of experience in vendor management or operational experience in a related field.
  • Ability to analyze documents and data, identify risks and establish relevant process controls.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and ability to interact comfortably and confidently at all levels including business partners, Executives, and external vendors.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with multiple vendors and key internal and external partners.
  • Ability to manage conflict and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
