About the Role

Responsible for providing application development and support services to meet AIA's business needs

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. System Operations & Daily Maintenance (50%)

  • Perform daily monitoring and health checks of the IFRS17 SAS environment.
  • Manage the execution of scheduled batch jobs and data processing workflows.
  • Fix system vulnerabilities as required by the Security team.
  • Responsible for SAS data model bug fixing.
  • Hands on SAS application upgrade management.

2. Design/Develop peripheral interface based on biz requirement (25%)

  • Analyze and estimate SAS business requirement.
  • Translate business requirement into SAS solution.
  • Design and implement SAS VA report according to the functional spec.
  • Prepare for design spec, unit testing doc etc.
  • Responsible for GO SAS code migration and deployment.

3. Project delivery (10%)

  • Engage in or lead SAS system project through the whole project lifecycle.
  • Accomplish/deliver project delivery within schedule/budget/scope with high quality.
  • Assist to manage multiple projects, deliverables, milestones, schedules, and budgets simultaneously.
  • Ensure that there is a business perspective on how the new capabilities will be delivered to the business and all necessary business change activities are successfully implemented.

4. IT Processes & User Satisfaction Improvement (10%)

  • Comply with  IT standard processes to manage and support SAS application to improve on working efficiency.
  • Review change on SAS to improve IT service for user.

5. User Training & Enablement (5%)

  • Develop and deliver training materials for new and existing users of the IFRS17 SAS system.
  • Conduct regular workshops and hands-on sessions to improve user proficiency.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for data handling, reporting, and system utilization.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree
  • Proficient in SAS programming, with extensive experience in SAS program development, debugging, and performance tuning
  • 5-10 years of work experience in above mentioned skills.
  • Familiar with SAS platform architecture, management tools (e.g. SAS Management Console), and job scheduling systems.
  • Possession of SAS-related professional certifications.
  • Experience in collecting requirements and designing of solutions.
  • Have operational experience with SAS interfaces for data exchange with other enterprise systems (e.g. SAP) is preferred.
  • Strong problem analysis and resolution skills, capable of independently handling complex technical issues.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Shell or Python for automating operational tasks.
  • Manage multi tasks/projects in parallel efficiently.
  • Have good language communication and expression skills, quick learner and strong willingness in learning new technologies.
  • Self-motivated and willing to work with others or work independently under a high pressure.
  • Be able to work flexibly to take conference call  for urgent tasks/projects.
