What you’ll be doing

The Senior Analyst position contributes to the profitable growth of the Simplii personal lending portfolios.  The main function is to provide data driven analysis/reporting for the purpose of continuously improving the acquisition strategies and collection of delinquent accounts for retail lending products.  This position also provides technical support for approved initiatives and projects as required.

You will be responsible for data-driven recommendations and strategies of delinquency management that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will frequently liaise with other departments to establish collaborative relationships, provide expertise, and communicate research results.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
 

How you’ll succeed

  • Analysis - Independently support and perform moderately complex statistical analyses using advanced analytical methods and data mining tools; leveraging new technologies of machine learning and artificial intelligence.

  • Delinquent portfolio operations - Support opportunities within the delinquent portfolio operations where analytical techniques can be effectively applied to achieve core business objectives.

  • Innovative solutions - Create and support analytical frameworks that enable deployment of innovative analytical solutions; enhancing suite of analytical capabilities to drive meaningful change.


Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience in working with SAS (Enterprise Guide, Enterprise Miner) Databricks or similar analytical tools (i.e. SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI), databases, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
