The role of the Analyst Portfolio Reconciliations focuses primarily on the timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts across multiple business lines, external parties and custodians, and, maintenance of the overall timeliness, quality and accuracy of assigned processes

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Ensure cash and positions for respective Funds/Portfolios are reconciled accurately, efficiently and on a timely basis with custodians and other external parties, as well as across multiple internal systems
  • Upon identifying and analyzing exceptions, ensure necessary, corrective action is assigned to responsible parties and tracked to resolution
  • Interface with internal and external business teams to identify root cause of exceptions and assist with corrective and preventive action
  • Develop expertise of the holdings, terms, and transactions of all Funds/Portfolios to ensure accuracy of the reconciliations process
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure all process and audit trail documentation is up-to-date at all times
  • Identify and escalate process/delivery risks
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from internal and external clients for additional information
  • Assist with the updating of the Reconciliation Tool and any associated applications to reflect changes in business processes as and when required
  • Perform testing for updates to Reconciliation Tool and any associated applications
  • Maintain and provide process MI

  • Accurately forecast cash positions across multiple accounts and currencies.
  • Work closely with portfolio managers and Portfolio accountants to project expected inflows (e.g., subscriptions, dividend receipts) and outflows (e.g., redemptions, trade settlements)
  • Monitor overdrafts, manage liquidity balances, and escalate breaks to avoid overdrafts fees or idle funds.
  • Update cash forecasts regularly based on market events, trade activity, and corporate actions
  • Co-ordinate with front office and custody to confirm funding requirements if standing instructions is not already in place
  • Oversight the cash accounts using internal systems and communicate unresolved items to the respective stakeholder for action
  • Work with trading desks, operations, and Client service teams to resolve any discrepancies
  • Liaise with banks and custodians to manage and reconcile actual versus projected cash movements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording and confirmation of all cash flows.
  • Analyze how trade mismatches, fails, or market timing differences can affect liquidity.
  • Collaborate with trading desks, operations, and custodians to resolve FX gaps or delays.
  • Maintain clear communication with relevant teams for timely execution and reconciliation.
  • Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation and reconciliations.
  • Monitor and report cash liquidity positions to portfolio manager daily
  • Partner with client services to address inquiries and operational support.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal controls.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
