The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Talent Acquisition has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Recruiter. The Advanced Practice Provider Recruiter plans, coordinates, and manages processes regarding the recruiting and hiring of advanced practice providers for the University of Miami Health System (UHealth). The Sr. APP Recruiter advises and collaborates with leadership, clinical departments, internal business units, and external recruitment partners in overseeing APP recruitment and onboarding activities. The Sr. APP Recruiter ensures each selected APP applicant complies with all requirements of UHealth’s comprehensive credentialing process.

Develops a talent pipeline to strengthen the organizational talent pool to ensure the University has a diverse pool of qualified applicants. Partners with hiring managers to identify qualified candidates and coordinates strategic planning meetings to determine current and future recruitment needs. Develops a thorough understanding and business acumen for each area, and acts as a strategic partner leading, planning, and executing strategies to support current or future needs within UHealth. Manages the recruitment/selection/hiring process to include offer letter, new hire paperwork, drug screen, and background check process, and ensures completion within the established timeline. Enters and submits initial provider information through the Credentialing Link and Internal Provider spreadsheet for all new hires and transfers into APP positions. Collaborates with the Credentialing and Medical Staff Office to complete the credentialing/privileging process.  Participates in weekly Credentialing and Privileging status meetings. Provides weekly Provider Status Report to nursing leadership, physician recruitment, and medical finance (as requested). Schedules providers for required orientations, and coordinates APP onboarding. Works closely with the credentialing representative(s) to ensure the APP submits all documents necessary for submission to the Credentials Committee to ensure all APPs start on their expected start date. Enters the APP’s required personal data in the established credentialing database and ensures all relevant data is inputted in a timely and accurate manner for practitioners and facilities. Acts as a process improvement champion providing best practice recommendations and solutions regarding the recruitment and hiring process for APPs. Prepares a weekly status report on all Providers to include open positions, positions filled, and declinations throughout the health system. Develops and proposes solutions and strategies to overcome recruitment obstacles in a competitive labor market, including new ad campaigns, direct recruitment from colleges and universities, and hosting of recruitment/hiring events (live and virtual).  Establishes and builds long-term relationships/networks with outside agencies, professional organizations, and associations.  Partners with compensation and our internal customers to overcome recruitment obstacles by sharing knowledge of the current market and applicant expectations.  Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS                                                                                         

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

Experience:

Minimum three (3) years of nursing and/or advanced practice recruitment experience
