Position Summary:
Drives revenue by verifying and posting receipts, resolving complex payment discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records. Leads collections efforts, collaborating with teams and customers to implement effective recovery plans. Supports cash flow optimization and organizational revenue goals through strategic management of accounts receivable.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage the collection of OE customer accounts, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding balances and maintaining positive customer relationships.
Analyze customer aging reports to identify trends, track past-due balances, and provide detailed reports to management for informed decision-making.
Proactively participate in meetings and communications with customers to resolve past-due balances and negotiate payment plans when necessary.
Investigate and verify account discrepancies by gathering information from sales, trade promotions, customer service teams, and directly from customers to ensure accuracy.
Resolve valid or authorized deductions by accurately entering adjusting entries and ensuring proper documentation.
Maintain comprehensive records of invoices, debits, and credits using internal data collection and tracking processes, supporting audit readiness and reporting requirements.
Handle additional AR responsibilities as assigned, following guidance to support overall finance and accounting operations.
Accurately maintain AR records, ensuring audit readiness and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures for accounting and finance
Meticulous attention to detail
Knowledge of large ERP systems – Oracle preferred
Excellent Problem-solving skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH), pivot tables, charts, and conditional formatting.
Experience with large datasets and the ability to manage and manipulate high-volume data efficiently.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high-level accuracy
Must have exceptional time management and organizational skills
Position Qualifications:
Education:
Requires a BA in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
6 -8 years experience in Accounting or Finance.
