Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will be primarily responsible for statutory financial reporting for multiple international entities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, strong expertise in both US GAAP and IFRS, exceptional financial reporting skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality financial statements in a multi-country environment. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, supporting month-end close activities and statutory financial reporting process, and providing valuable insights to drive business decisions. Critical thinking, attention to detail, and flexibility are essential traits for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations and statutory financial statements for certain entities in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and local regulations.
Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes.
Draft clear, accurate, and comprehensive financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
Analyze financial data and trends to identify variances, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights.
Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-border teams to gather information and resolve accounting issues.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.
Continuously seek process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
Present findings and reports to management in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CA, CPA, ACCA, or progress toward a recognized accounting qualification preferred).
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant exposure to statutory reporting under both US GAAP and IFRS for international entities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated experience in statutory financial accounting and reporting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products such as Power BI, Power Automate, (is a plus) and Teams; experience with accounting software (e.g., Oracle, BlackLine, Workiva) is preferred.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multi-country environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
