The Role

As a Squad Leader at Kyndryl, you’ll be responsible for leading and supporting storage and backup services across distributed platforms. In this role, you ensure service stability, operational excellence, and effective team performance while supporting mission‑critical enterprise systems.

You will provide technical leadership, coordinate cross‑team activities, and act as a subject matter expert (SME) to drive best practices in storage and backup operations. Working closely with global teams and stakeholders, you play a key role in ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate storage and backup operations across distributed platforms.

  • Ensure service availability, reliability, and adherence to operational standards.

  • Act as Squad Leader and SME, guiding team members and supporting complex technical issues.

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to plan, implement, and improve services.

  • Drive documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the squad.

Who You Are

You’re good at what you do and bring deep technical experience combined with strong leadership skills. You are comfortable leading teams in complex environments, working across organizational boundaries, and balancing technical excellence with service delivery objectives. You have a growth mindset, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach to problem solving.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise infrastructure environments.

  • Strong experience leading storage and backup services for distributed platforms.

  • Proven experience as a Squad Leader, Team Leader, or Subject Matter Expert (SME).

  • Experience working with cross‑team and cross‑functional management models.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience supporting mission‑critical, enterprise‑scale environments.

  • Ability to mentor and develop technical team members.

  • Familiarity with operational governance, service management, and continuous improvement practices.

  • Intermediate English proficiency required for technical documentation, collaboration with global teams, and stakeholder communication.
