Primary Duties
• Have complete knowledge of the machine he/she is operating, including the setting of all controls according to the type of material he/she is working with
• Maintain and set up the machine
• Keep accurate records of material produced
• Instruct helper in order to operate as a team in a safe and proper way
• Pull parts for spot welding of sub-assemblies from the storage area as needed
• Follow standardized work rules
Skills/Abilities
• Basic reading skills
• Background in welding
• Strong knowledge of machines and materials he/she is working with
• Ability to follow directions
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to communicate well with others
Work Environment
• Continuous exposure to Mechanical hazards and moving objects
• Frequent exposure to temperature extremes, noise levels >80 db, vibration, and material handling equipment
• Occasional exposure to humid/arid conditions, fumes, dust, mists, gases, allergens, and insect bites
Physical Demands
• Must have the ability to speak and hear clearly
• Must be able to see well including depth perception and the ability to distinguish between colors
• Requires frequent (4 or more hours per day): standing, sitting, lifting, carrying (25-50 lbs), balancing, stooping, finger movement, and twisting
• Occasional walking, kneeling, crouching, pushing & pulling of heavy carts, and reaching (overhead and to the side) may be required
Expected Hours of Work
8 hour shifts M-F with weekend and daily overtime hours as required for production
