We are currently seeking a full-time Sports Video Production Intern (40 hrs/week) to join our sports video team this summer. The ideal candidate will have a keen knowledge and interest in New York sports and can help us create savvy, fun and informative digital-native video content. This is an opportunity to join an iconic media brand as it continues to experience exponential digital growth. New York Post videos have received more than a billion views in the last year.
Note: This internship is scheduled to run from June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026. Participants are expected to work full time hours and adhere to our on-site work schedule. Open to current juniors and seniors pursuing a BA, MA students, and recent graduates who completed their degree within the past year. Priority consideration will be given to applications received by March 15th.
What You’ll Do:
You will be responsible for daily tasks like production assisting, researching, proofreading and copy editing, and working with our on-air talent and producers to turn our creative ideas into video packages.
Support field operations, including logistics, location agreements, and production needs.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth execution of video shoots.
Help prepare graphics and VO packages for our studio shows.
Social media content creation, including pitching ideas, editing video for social formats, and pulling clips from our long-form shows to post to our social channels.
What We’re Looking For:
Interest in working in online news environment
Studio production interest is key; experience a plus
Familiarity and use of mainstream video channels like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and more.
Social media savvy
Simple video and photo editing skills
Must enjoy working collaboratively and accurately; attention to detail a must
Students will help gather footage, transfer files, do research and be part of our sports production team.
