The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) within the Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge (ERIK) seeks a Sponsored Program Coordinator to join our team.
The Sponsored Program Coordinator (SP Coordinator) position performs research administration functions for the Office of Grants and Contracts (OGC) under the supervision of OGC leadership and in collaboration with Sponsored Program Officers (SPOs).
The individual in this role will assist the OGC leadership and SPOs by coordinating the grants and contracts administrative job duties across OGC workloads. This includes paperless proposal and award files and new award review processes. Independently performs data entry and management activities in the Grants module systems. Provides proposal review, including budgets. Initiates post-submission proposal process (PA-005 transfers). Monitors financial status of research projects and provides reports, as required. Creates and processes sub-award agreements. Monitors and initiates project close-out process.
Provides staff leave coverage to SPOs and leadership and assumes responsibility for workload relief during high-volume periods. Works to build knowledge base in research administration and stays current on agency regulations, requirements, and policies. Provides high-quality customer service to the OSP research constituents and the University's research community. Assists and participates in staff training and Principal Investigator (PI) trainings. Performs other tasks as assigned.

The pay range for this job profile is $20.24 - $22.81 per hour. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on multiple factors including internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
Employees are provided several flexible work schedule and location options aligned with U.S. Eastern Time Zone, including an option for remote. All employees are provided university-configured equipment and supportive technology tools. Employees are required to provide reliable internet access and home office furnishings for approved remote work locations.

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), under the auspices of the Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge (ERIK), supports the development, implementation, and coordination of sponsored research at the University from proposal development to project closeout. OSP provides a full range of research administration services to support Ohio State faculty, staff, and graduate students through research administration, responsible stewardship of funds and sound management practices.
