This intermediate associate executes the day-to-day processes and activities to service the participant-supporter connection. Works within and supports Compassion systems, processes and standards ensuring quality communications and information. Specifically, he or she processes child sponsorship, child survival, youth and other significant field program communication resources. He or she may coach the work of other Sponsor Donor Support Associates.
Responsibilities
Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.
Working directly or in cooperation with appropriate staff, coordinates the gathering of communication resources from the church partner.
Ensures communication between supporters and participants and church partners aligns with Sponsor Donor Support standards and provides production schedules with deadlines as well as feedback on the quality of information received.
Collaborates with various field office staff to conduct and support marketing or external relations related information processing.
Generates, organizes, records, and tracks child, mother-child unit and student information and correspondence documents within established time lines. This includes project gift usage, letters, child updates (registration, transfers exits, etc) and supporter inquiries.
Reviews and corrects documents ensuring accuracy of data flowing from field offices to marketing and alignment with Compassion standards. Reviews participant and supporter communication-focuses dashboards and addresses needs in communication processes. Addresses gaps in understanding of systems, processes, and Compassion standards and supports capacity building efforts for the church partner staff they support as needed.
Enters electronic participant and supporter data into database and runs database reports and maintains computer files. Also reviews, approves or rejects child information received.
Uses Compassion process and system understanding to support program support activities and may provide some general administrative support.
May provide technical advice to other staff on Sponsor Donor Support systems and programs commonly used in this role to other associates and client groups.

Education
Bachelor degree in communication, business administration or a related field
Experience
Three years relevant experience working in this or a related field.
