Position Summary/Purpose:
Ministry Driver will provide transportation for offsite Local and Global Outreach ministry events.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
- pick-up and drop-off GCU fleet van
- confirm volunteer head-count to and from destination
- ensure use of seat belts by all passengers
- drive volunteers to and from offsite outreach events
- check van for lost/left items as passengers disembark
- communicate any vehicle issues with GCU Fleet Service
- Ministry Driver will remain with ministry leader during event-from beginning to end.
Equipment Used and Responsibility:
Ministry Driver will operate GCU Fleet 15 Passenger Van, 12 Passenger Van, SUV, or Truck to offsite events.
Qualifications:
- Candidates MUST BE 21 years of age or older
- Candidates must possess a current Driver’s License and clean driving record
- New hire must submit to GCU fleet drivers training and pass the GCU fleet written and practical assessment and background check before the beginning of scheduled work hours.
- Clearance failure will result in conclusion of employment
Experience/Education:
Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
