50% - Administer, score, and interpret speech and language assessments/evaluations for The Children's Trust grant; discuss evaluation results and treatment recommendations with caregivers.
35% - Develop recommendations for therapeutic and educational treatment plans; write integrated reports, detailing test results clinical impressions, and treatment recommendations.
10% - Provide clinical evaluation and treatment services to private ASAC clients.
5% - other duties as assigned.
The Speech Pathologist 2 coordinates speech and language services for patients enrolled in assigned facilities. The Speech Pathologist 2 also administers speech and language evaluations and therapy services for patients enrolled in applicable school programs. Moreover, the incumbent takes part in a multidisciplinary team and takes on administrative duties.

Develops, plans, and implements a program for generalization of speech and language goals for both home-based and center-based students.
Implements classroom-based therapy models and techniques to coincide with program philosophy.
Implements therapy in a natural environment whenever possible.
Consults with classroom teachers to implement speech therapy goals in the classroom.
Evaluates, plans, and implements the use of assistive technology in classrooms.
Writes initial speech language pathology evaluations, quarterly progress notes, Medicaid notes, plans of care, family support plan goals, and final discharge summaries.
Provides guidance to parents and classroom staff on appropriate communication strategies to facilitate skill generalization.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Provide bilingual (English and Spanish) culturally and linguistically responsive clinical services to individuals in need of evaluation and/or intervention within the scope of practice for Speech-Language Pathology
Take part in a multidisciplinary team to conduct diagnostic assessments for individuals suspected of autism spectrum disorder.
Develop recommendations for therapeutic and educational treatment plans.
Write integrated reports detailing behavioral observations, test results and interpretation, clinical impressions, and treatment recommendations, in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Deliver evidence-based treatment services to children and/or their families, individually, in a group-setting, and/or through parent-coaching.
To provide technical assistance and/or consultation to public or private agencies and organizations as appropriate (e.g., outpatient clinics, teachers, tutors, medical professionals).
Participate as a representative of the discipline of speech-language pathology on one or more of the multidisciplinary teams in the Department of Psychology as appropriate.
Engage in clinical research interests in topic areas related to the discipline of speech-language pathology as appropriate.
Participate directly in didactic and clinical teaching and in scholarly activities, particularly in the area of speech and language assessment and intervention within the Department of Psychology and related community, state, regional, and/or national programs.
Provide supervision and/or training for speech-language pathology and/or clinical psychology students.
Reporting Authority
The individual in this position will report to the Faculty Advisor and Directors of the Autism Spectrum Assessment Clinic at the University of Miami Department of Psychology.

Master’s Degree in relevant field
Certification and Licensing:
Certification in relevant specialty or field
