PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Provides pharmaceutical sales support to dialysis facilities, staff and HCPs within an assigned sales territory. Functions as a pharmaceutical product resource.

   

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Has wide-ranging experience and uses professional concepts in developing resolutions.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert.

  • Effectively utilizes reporting tools provided to achieve territorial goals. Maintains accurate and timely documentation in defined CRM tool, including sales call information, market share information, demographics, and sales target reports.

  • Creates and executes an effective call plan. Utilizes all available data in pre-call planning sales targeting, and educational activities.

  • Identifies and prioritizes appropriate routing, scheduling of in-servicing needs, educational support, and follow-up calls.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in all aspects of product responsibility, inclusive of disease state information on renal therapies, renal disease, bone disease by completing required training.

  • Achieves consistent sales coverage with clinics and physicians by meeting defined call expectations per day.

  • Identifies customer needs and presents the value of working with FMC to meet those needs. Utilizes selling skills in presentations and in-service activities.

  • Collaborates with internal cross- functional partners to achieve shared objectives in assigned territory.

  • Communicates and collaborates with Director of Sales on goals and strategies to maintain and grow business.

  • Utilizes high level professional concepts and consistently applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.

  • Identifies and develops new accounts while maintaining relationships with existing accounts. Adds value to FMC pharmaceutical products with technical knowledge and expertise.

  • May escalate difficult/complex issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary.

  • Provides assistance to other staff with complex tasks.

  • Models coachability and demonstrates mentorship by providing coaching and feedback to others.

  • Demonstrates strong judgement and able to effectively adapt in changing situations.

  • Assist with various projects as assigned by management.

  • May be appointed to Regional Sales Trainer (RFT) assignment

  • Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to physically cover and maintain regular face-to-face contact with customers over a large geographic area.
  • Extensive travel by automobile/train/airplane is often necessary to cover assigned territory which includes overnight stays.
  • Contact with customers by phone alone is not adequate. Occasional weekend work is necessary to support trade show events.
  • Lifting requirements involve setting up portable booths, occasional lifting up to 50lbs, and transporting medical equipment and supplies for purposes of in-servicing customers.
  • Must reside within assigned territory.
      

SUPERVISION:

  • None

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; In lieu of degree a combination of education and experience may be considered. Advanced Degree a plus.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in Pharmaceutical sales, preferably in Renal.

  • Demonstrates effective communication skills; public speaking, written, and presentation skills.

  • Effective  computer skills and proficiency with MS Office products

  • Minimum three years of service with Fresenius Renal Pharmaceuticals and satisfactory completion of training requirements  

The rate of pay for this position will depend on the successful candidate’s work location and qualifications, including relevant education, work experience, skills, and competencies.

Annual Rate: $97,000.00 - $163,000.00
