Hours: Rotates 8:00am-5:00pm // 8:30am-5:30pm
The Clinical Pharmacist I serves as a key member of the Ambulatory Clinical Support team, providing comprehensive medication management services to patients within Sentara’s Specialty Pharmacies. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based use of specialty medications through patient counseling, therapy monitoring, and coordination with providers. By supporting adherence, optimizing therapeutic outcomes, and documenting interventions, the Clinical Pharmacist I helps advance quality care and patient-centered outcomes across complex disease states.
Education
Bachelors Level Degree in Pharmacy (Required)
Doctorate Level Degree in Pharmacy (Preferred)
Certification/Licensure
Virginia Pharmacist License (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
Experience
Minimum of 2 years experience in Clinical or Ambulatory Pharmacy (Preferred)*
Experience with MTM services (Preferred)
*Completed Residency (PGY1 or PGY2) in lieu of Required experience
